Ministry Opportunities
Rural Life Mission Inc.
Youth/Pastoral Workers Rural Life Mission:
The Rural Life Mission has immediate need of additional Missionaries in the Thunder Bay area of Northern Ontario.
Rural Life Mission began in 1936. It is a non-denominational faith ministry. It serves in several communities in
Northern Ontario and also ministers through Round Lake Bible Camp. This was started in 1944 and is 85 kms SW of Thunder Bay.
Ministry Description:
As Round Lake Bible Camp is expanding with year round outreach activities, the Directors need an additional
individual or couple to eventually assist in the administration of this ministry.
The Mission is seeking to purchase a Mission Home in Thunder Bay from where outreach ministries will begin, especially
to the growing population of First Nation people. There will be opportunity to serve in this ministry.
Since the Missionaries of the Chapel in Armstrong (north of Thunder Bay) will be moving to this home, there will be a need
for at least part-time pastoral outreach especially there to the people of White Sands reserve.
Ministry Requirements:
have a passion for leading others to Christ
experience in camping and youth work
basic training from a recognized Bible school or equivalent
preaching and leadership ability experience
flexibility in travelling and assigned ministries
willingness to work with others on the mission team
love for the outdoors as found in Northern Ontario

experience working with First Nations people would be helpful
Financial Support:
Rural Life Mission is a Faith mission and consequently Missionaries are required to raise their own support.
The Mission will help the successful candidate in this process. The Mission offers a health benefit package and mileage
allowance. It will also assist in moving expenses and in seeking accomodation in the Thundaer Bay area.
Application Process:
Completed application forms (obtained by contacting the office) should be sent to the Missions Office.
